About
My name is Basia and I'm a film and DSLR photographer based in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
I started shooting 35mm film in 2019, when I took a black-and-white studio and darkroom class in college. I fell in love with the way film slowed me down and made me notice light, texture, and the small, fleeting moments that often go unnoticed.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My parents’ photo albums are filled with early snapshots of sticky fingers, lamps, and off-kilter compositions — clear evidence that I’ve always been drawn to capturing the world around me.
Travel continues to shape my work. I’m inspired by the architecture, textures, and quiet details of the places I visit, as well as the people I encounter along the way. Whether exploring a new city or wandering familiar streets, I capture images that feel alive to me, timeless, and full of memory.
